DTC B16F5: Side Airbag Sensor LH Recognition Error

Diagnosis start condition:

When the ignition voltage is 10 - 16 V.

DTC detecting condition:

Side impact sensor LH (center pillar) is misinstalled.
The airbag control module is installed incorrectly.

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION

CHECK Side impact sensor LH (center pillar) .
Check the part number printed on the sensor. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>IMPACT SENSOR>REMOVAL

Is the part number correct?

Yes : Replace the airbag control module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE>REMOVAL

No : Replace with a genuine sensor.
