DTC B16C5: Vehicle Speed (A/B)

DTC detecting condition:

Abnormality in the vehicle speed received from VDC Control Module is detected.

Trouble symptom:

Identification of the occupant in the passenger's seat is not performed.

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION

CHECK VDC .
Perform the diagnosis for VDC. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE

Is the check result OK?

Yes : Go to 2.

No : Perform the inspection according to the VDC diagnosis.
CHECK DTC .
Read the DTC of [Airbag] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)

Is DTC B16C5 displayed? (Current code)

Yes : Go to 3.

No : Finish the diagnosis.
CHECK LAN SYSTEM .
Perform the diagnosis for LAN system. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE

Is the check result OK?

Yes : Go to 4.

No : Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for LAN system.
CHECK DTC .
Read the DTC of [Airbag] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)

Is DTC B16C5 displayed? (Current code)

Yes : Replace the airbag control module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE>REMOVAL

No : Finish the diagnosis.
