Intake Duct No. 1

  1. Remove the under cover front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>REMOVAL
  2. Drain engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT
  3. Disconnect the air intake boot from the air intake duct No. 1.

  4. Release the lock by sliding the spring, and disconnect the PCV pipe assembly from the intake duct No. 1.

  5. Disconnect the vacuum hose and the water hose.

  6. Remove the bolt, and remove the intake duct No. 1.
    NOTE:

    The upper bolt is tightened together with the hose stay.

  7. Remove the gasket (A) and O-ring (B) from the intake duct No. 1.

  8. Disconnect the water hose from the intake duct No. 1.
    NOTE:

    Perform this procedure only when required.
