Power Will Not Turn On. Illumination Does Not Light
Probable cause:
Power supply circuit malfunction, unit body malfunction

- CHECK FUSE
.
Check the fuse for the combination meter. Ref. to WIRING SYSTEM>COMBINATION METER SYSTEM
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Go to 2.
No : Replace the fuse. If the fuse is blown again, check or replace the short circuit of the power supply harness.
- CHECK CONNECTOR
.
Check if the connector is connected to the combination meter and there is poor contact in the connector.
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Go to 3.
No : Engage the connector properly, or repair the faulty portion and check the operation.
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
.
- Disconnect the connector from the combination meter.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Use a tester to measure the voltage between the combination meter connector and chassis ground.

(i97) No. 2 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Is the voltage 9 - 16 V?
Yes : Go to 5.
No : Go to 4.
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

Use a tester to measure the resistance between the combination meter connector and F/B.

(i97) No. 2 - F/B fuse No. 5:
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Yes : Check the battery and the circuit between the battery and fuse.
No : Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
- CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

Use a tester to measure the resistance between the combination meter connector and ground.

(i97) No. 40 - Chassis ground:
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Yes : Replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER
No : Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
