When The Rear Left Seat Switch Is Operated, The Rear Left Power Window Does Not Work In Automatic Operation. (With Off-Delay Function For All Seats)
Trouble causes:
- Rear regulator and motor assembly LH malfunction
- Power window main switch failure
- Rear power window sub-switch LH malfunction
- LIN communication error
- Body integrated unit malfunction
- Harness malfunction
- Poor contact of connector
- Power supply circuit malfunction

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION
- CHECK MALFUNCTIONS
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Operate the rear power window sub-switch LH and check that the power window (rear seat LH) works in manual operation.
Does the power window operate manually according to switch operation?
Yes : Go to 2.
No : Perform the diagnosis for "When the rear left seat switch is operated, the rear left power window does not work in manual operation". Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>INSPECTION>WHEN THE REAR LEFT SEAT SWITCH IS OPERATED, THE REAR LEFT POWER WINDOW DOES NOT WORK IN MANUAL OPERATION. (WITH OFF-DELAY FUNCTION FOR ALL SEATS)
- CHECK DTC

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTCs of [Power Window (Switch)] and [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
- Power Window (Switch)
- Power Window (Rear Left)
Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST
No : Go to 3.
- CHECK [ECU Control Mode] (DATA MONITOR)

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DATA MONITOR
- ECU Control Mode
Is [Initialized] displayed?
Yes : Go to 4.
No : Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform [System Initialization] of [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION>SYSTEM INITIALIZATION
Then, perform the initial setting of the power window. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW SYSTEM>OPERATION
- CHECK [One's Seat Switch] (DATA MONITOR)

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DATA MONITOR
- One's Seat Switch
Does the display change corresponding to the switch operation?
Yes : Replace the rear regulator and motor assembly LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REAR REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY
No : Go to 5.
- CHECK REAR POWER WINDOW SUB-SWITCH LH
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the rear power window sub-switch LH connector.
- Perform unit inspection of rear power window sub-switch LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH>INSPECTION
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Go to 6.
No : Replace the rear power window sub-switch LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT)

- Disconnect the rear regulator and motor assembly LH connector.
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between the rear power window sub-switch LH connector and the rear regulator & motor assembly LH connector.
Connector & terminal
(Dr32) No. 1 - (Dr42) No. 4:
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Yes : Go to 7.
No : Repair the open circuit of harness between the rear power window sub-switch LH connector and the rear regulator & motor assembly LH connector.
- CHECK HARNESS (SHORT CIRCUIT TO POWER SUPPLY)

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using a tester, measure the voltage between the rear power window sub-switch LH connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(Dr32) No. 1 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Is the voltage less than 1 V?
Yes : Replace the rear regulator and motor assembly LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REAR REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY
No : Repair the short circuit to power supply in the harness between the rear power window sub-switch LH connector and the rear regulator and motor assembly LH connector.
