The Rear Left Power Window Incorrectly Reverses During Up Operation (Does Not Fully Close), Or It Incorrectly Stops During Down Operation (Does Not Fully Open)
Trouble causes:
- Rear regulator and motor assembly LH malfunction
- Foreign materials caught in related parts
- Faulty assembly of power window-related parts
- Running channel malfunction
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION
- CHECK DTC
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTCs of [Power Window (Switch)] and [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
- Power Window (Switch)
- Power Window (Rear Left)
Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST
No : Go to 2.
- SYSTEM INITIALIZATION
.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform [System Initialization] of [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION>SYSTEM INITIALIZATION
- Perform the initial setting of the power window. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW SYSTEM>OPERATION
- Operate the power window main switch and check that the power window (rear seat LH) operates.
Does the power window operate normally according to switch operation?
Yes : Currently returned to a normal condition. Proper sliding resistance was recorded by initialization.
No : Go to 3.
- CHECK GLASS SLIDING SURFACE
.
Inspect the following items.
- Abnormal contact of the glass with the running channel
- Running channel deformation or foreign materials caught in it
- Running channel misalignment
- Weather strips outer and inner that got caught in the glass
- Glass that is at a slant or catches on something
NOTE:Check the sliding resistance near the sliding surface of the glass that incorrectly reverses or stops.
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Go to 4.
No : Repair or replace the faulty portion, Go to 4.
- CHECK GLASS SLIDING RESISTANCE
.
- Remove mounting bolts on the glass.
- Roll up/down the glass by hand and inspect the following items.
- Abnormal contact of the glass with the running channel
- Running channel deformation or foreign materials caught in it
- Running channel misalignment
- Weather strips outer and inner that got caught in the glass
- Glass that is at a slant or catches on something
NOTE:Check the sliding resistance near the sliding surface of the glass that incorrectly reverses or stops.
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Replace the rear regulator and motor assembly LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REAR REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY
No : Repair or replace faulty parts.
