DTC B2B02: Driver's Door Power Window Manual Down Switch Stuck

DTC detecting condition: 

When DOWN Terminal Input ON state continues for 20±1 seconds or longer.

Trouble symptom: 

The driver's side power window does not operate.

1. CHECK MALFUNCTIONS  .
   1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
   2. Operate the power window main switch and check that the power window (driver's side) operates.

   Does the power window operate normally according to switch operation?

   Yes  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

   NOTE:

   In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. 

   No  : Go to  2.

2. CHECK DTC  .

   Read the DTC of [Power Window (Switch)] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) 

   Is DTC B2B50 displayed? (Current code)

   Yes  : Perform the diagnosis of DTC B2B50. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC B2B50 POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH FAILURE 

   No  : Go to  3.

3. CHECK [One's Seat Switch] (DATA MONITOR)  .

   Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Power Window (Driver)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS) >DATA MONITOR 

   • One's Seat Switch

   Does the display change corresponding to the switch operation?

   Yes  : Replace the front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side). Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>FRONT REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY

   No  : Go to  4.

4. CHECK POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH UNIT  .
   1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
   2. Perform unit inspection of power window main switch. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH>INSPECTION

   Is the power window main switch OK?

   Yes  : Go to  5.

   No  : Replace the power window main switch. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH

5. CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT)  .
   1. Disconnect the power window main switch connector.
   2. Disconnect the front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side) connector.
   3. Using a tester, measure the resistance between power window main switch connector and front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side) connector.

      Connector & terminal 

      (Df34) No. 11 - (Df52) No. 6:

   Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

   Yes  : Replace the front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side). Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>FRONT REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY

   No  : Repair the short circuit to ground in harness between power window main switch connector and front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side) connector.
