Seat Heater Switch

  1. Check the continuity between the connector terminals.
    • LH side switch

      NOTE:

      When checking the LH side switch, turn the RH side switch to OFF. 

      Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
      5 - 8 Switch ON Less than 10 Ω
    • RH side switch

      Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
      3 - 6 Switch ON Less than 10 Ω
  2. Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination inside the switch.
    CAUTION:

    When applying battery voltage, do not mix up the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side. 

    Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch. 

    NOTE:

    Operate the switch to HI and LO for the indicator. 

    • Indicator
      • LH side switch
        Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification
        2 (+) - 8 (-) Switch HI Light ON
        3 (+) - 8 (-) Switch LO Light ON
      • RH side switch
        Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification
        1 (+) - 6 (-) Switch HI Light ON
        2 (+) - 6 (-) Switch LO Light ON
    • Illumination
      • LH side switch
        Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification
        6 (+) - 7 (-) Apply battery voltage. Light ON
      • RH side switch
        Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification
        4 (+) - 5 (-) Apply battery voltage. Light ON
  3. Replace the seat heater switch if it is found defective.
