- PERFORM REAL TIME DIAGNOSIS
.
Check the input signal of cruise control system. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>REAL-TIME DIAGNOSIS
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Currently, it is normal. Finish the diagnosis.
No : Go to 2.
- CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH CIRCUIT
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the connector from inhibitor switch.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using a tester, measure the voltage between inhibitor switch connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(T31) No. 6 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Is the voltage 10 V or more?
Yes : Go to 3.
No :
- Check the fuse. Ref. to WIRING SYSTEM>STARTER SYSTEM>WIRING DIAGRAM
- Check for open or short circuit in the harness between inhibitor switch and ECM.
- CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH CIRCUIT
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the connector from ECM.
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between the inhibitor switch connector and the ECM connector.
Connector & terminal
(T31) No. 6 - (E52) No. 12:
Is the resistance less than 10 Ω?
Yes : Go to 4.
No : Repair the harness.
- CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH
.
Remove and check the inhibitor switch. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>INHIBITOR SWITCH>INSPECTION
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Replace the ECM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DOTC)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)
No : Replace the inhibitor switch. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>INHIBITOR SWITCH
