DTC B2247: Cd Mechanical
DTC detecting condition:
When CD deck detected a failure.
Trouble symptom:
- CDs cannot be played back.
- Cannot be inserted or ejected.
CAUTION:
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION
- CHECK MEDIA

- Check for dirt on the disc surface of the media, and clean the disc softly using soft and dry cloth such as a plastic eyeglasses cleaning cloth. When cleaning, make sure that wiping direction is from the center to the edge of the disc.CAUTION:
To avoid any scratch on the surface, do not apply excessive force with hand or do not use a rough cloth. Do not use solvent such as alcohol, benzene, thinner, etc. as well as chemical cloth to avoid damaging the disc.
- Insert the media and make sure that it can be played back.
Is the check result OK?
Yes : There were some problems with the media.
No : Go to 2.

Insert another media which is properly functioning.
Is the check result OK?
Yes : There were some problems with the media.
No : Replace the CD deck. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY
