High Beam Light Does Not Go Off Automatically (Mirror HBA)

Trouble symptom: 

High beam light does not go off automatically even when the high beam assist indicator is illuminating.

NOTE:

If the combination meter is defective, diagnose the combination meter first. 

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to  BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION  

  1. CHECK DATA MONITOR  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Direct the light of LED light or the like to the illumination sensor.
    3. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Body Control]. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR 
      • <HBA>High Beam Assist Status

    Is [Day Detect] displayed?

    Yes  : Go to  2.

    No  : Replace the high beam assist module. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REARVIEW MIRROR

  2. CHECK DATA MONITOR  .
    1. Direct the light of LED light or the like to the illumination sensor.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Body Control]. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR 
      • <HBA>High Beam Request Status

    Is [Request] displayed?

    Yes  : Replace the high beam assist module. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REARVIEW MIRROR

    No  : Replace the body integrated unit. Ref. to BODY CONTROL/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM>BODY INTEGRATED UNIT
