DTC B2682: High Beam Assist Unit Field Of View

DTC detecting condition:

The vehicle attitude is not upright enough, or the camera installation angle is deviated widely.

Trouble symptom:

High beam assist failure indicator illuminates, and failure message is displayed.
High beam assist indicator does not illuminate.

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION

VISUAL CHECK ON VEHICLE .
Visually check the vehicle attitude and the angle of the high beam assist camera.

Does the vehicle attitude tilt sideways or forward/backward? Is the high beam assist camera angle misaligned with the front of the vehicle? (Check from the exterior and interior of the vehicle)

Yes : Repair the faulty part.

No : Go to 2.
CHECK CURRENT DATA .
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for at least 15 seconds.
3. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Body Control]. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR
  - <HBA>Camera Position Correlation
Is [Abnormal] displayed?

Yes : Go to 3.

No : Go to 4.
CORRECTION OF VEHICLE ATTITUDE .
1. Adjust the tire pressure to the specified value.
2. Unload the cargo.
3. Empty the vehicle (no occupants).
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for at least 15 seconds.
5. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Body Control]. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR
  - <HBA>Camera Position Correlation
Is [Abnormal] displayed?

Yes : Replace the high beam assist module. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REARVIEW MIRROR

No : Go to 4.
CHECK DTC .
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for at least 15 seconds.
3. Read the DTC of [Body Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
Is DTC B2682 displayed? (Current code)

Yes : Replace the body integrated unit. Ref. to BODY CONTROL/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM>BODY INTEGRATED UNIT

No : Perform the inspection mode Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>INSPECTION MODE>PROCEDURE>CAMERA VIEW ANGLE INSPECTION MODE (MODELS WITH MIRROR HBA) . If the fault is not detected, the system is normal.
