Check Operation (Automatic Anti-Glare Mirror)
CAUTION:
- Perform the inspection indoors.
- Depending on the mirror surface direction or surrounding circumstances, mirror surface reflection may not be switched. Therefore, perform the inspection several times by changing the mirror surface direction or surrounding circumstances.
- Check mirror assembly inner rearview HBA operation.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and check that the indicator light illuminates and the mirror surface is bright.
- Check that the power supply of the mirror assembly inner rearview HBA can be switched ON and OFF.
- Cover the front light sensor (a) with hand, and check that the mirror surface will switch from the bright state to the dark state by exposing the rear light sensor (d) to fluorescent light.
- Take your hand off the front light sensor (a), and check that the mirror surface will switch from the dark state to the bright state.
- Check the list of "Diagnostics with Phenomenon", and perform diagnosis. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>LIST>HIGH BEAM ASSIST SYSTEM
- Replace the mirror assembly inner rearview HBA if it is found defective.
