The Led Does Not Display The Status. (Led Malfunction)

Probable cause: 

No contract agreement, DCM malfunction, telematics button malfunction

CAUTION:
  1. CHECK THE SUBSCRIPTION STATUS  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Telematics]. Ref. to TELEMATICS SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .

    • Subscription Status

    Is the data [Subscribed]?

    Yes:  Go to  2.

    No  :

    • The user does not have a service subscription; therefore, it is not a failure.
    • When the user's service subscription is not set to [Subscribed], set the provisioning.

    When the setting does not change to [Subscribed] even after setting the provisioning again, replace the DCM. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>DATA COMMUNICATION MODULE .

  2. CHECK THE LED  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Check the LED condition.

    Does the RED LED go off and the GREEN LED illuminate?

    Yes:  The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis.

    NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

    No:  Go to  3.

  3. CHECK DTCS  .

    Read the DTC of [Telematics] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to TELEMATICS SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC B2A0A or B2A0B displayed?

    Yes:  Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTC B2A0A or B2A0B. Ref. to TELEMATICS SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC B2A0A RED LED CIRCUIT . Ref. to TELEMATICS SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC B2A0B GREEN LED CIRCUIT .

    No:  Go to  4.

  4. CHECK THE LED ILLUMINATION CONDITION  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Active Test] of [Telematics]. Ref. to TELEMATICS SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>ACTIVE TEST .

    • RED LED Lighting
    • GREEN LED Lighting

    Is the LED turned on or off?

    Yes:  Go to  5.

    No:  Go to  6.

  5. CHECK THE LED  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Check the LED condition.

    Does the RED LED go off and the GREEN LED illuminate?

    Yes:  The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis.

    NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

    No:  Replace the DCM. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>DATA COMMUNICATION MODULE .

  6. CHECK THE LED  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Check that RED LED or GREEN LED illuminates when applying the battery voltage to it. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>SWITCHES AND HARNESS>INSPECTION .
      CAUTION: Never connect the battery voltage terminals in reverse polarity, because reversed connection damages the telematics button (LED).

      Terminals 

      RED side 

      No. 7 (+) - No. 1 (-):

      GREEN side 

      No. 4 (+) - No. 1 (-):

    Does the RED LED or the GREEN LED illuminate?

    Yes:  Replace the DCM. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>DATA COMMUNICATION MODULE .

    No:  Replace the telematics button. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>SWITCHES AND HARNESS .
