DTC C1412: Selected Parameter

DTC detecting condition: A fault is detected if abnormal set value is found on the vehicle model that were given some parameters.

Trouble symptom:

ABS does not operate.
VSC (VDC) does not operate.
EyeSight does not operate.

NOTE:

When the VSC (VDC) Control Module & H/U is replaced, this DTC may be stored.
If this DTC is stored while the identification symbol is correct, replace the VSC (VDC) Control Module & H/U.

CHECK VSC (VDC) CONTROL MODULE & H/U IDENTIFICATION SYMBOL .
Check the identification symbol attached on the H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION>VSCCM & H/U .

Is the identification symbol correct?

Yes: Go to 2.

No: Replace the VSC (VDC) Control Module & H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL>VSC (VDC) CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VSCCM & H/U) .
CHECK SPECIFICATIONS OF OTHER CONTROL MODULES .
Check the specifications of ECM and TCM.

Are the specifications of ECM and TCM the same as vehicle specification?

Yes: Replace the VSC (VDC) Control Module & H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL>VSC (VDC) CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VSCCM & H/U) .

No: Replace the ECM and TCM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) . Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) .
