Console Box: Removal

NOTE: The illustration shows the AT model.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Release the clips and claws, and then remove the boot assembly parking brake.

  3. Release the clips, and detach the cover assembly front panel.
    CAUTION:
    • When using a flat tip screwdriver, apply protective tape or cloth and be careful not to cause damage.
    • Protect any vulnerable areas.

    (a) Tool insertion opening
  4. Remove the cover assembly front OUT.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Release the clips and claws, and then remove the cover assembly front OUT.

  5. Remove the shift knob. (MT model) Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>MT GEAR SHIFT LEVER>REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the grip. (AT model) Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>REMOVAL .
  7. Release the clips, and detach the cover assembly front.
    NOTE: For the AT model, disconnect the indicator connector.

  8. Remove the console box assembly.
    1. Remove the cap console and bolts.
    2. Remove the screws and release the clip.
    3. Disconnect the connector, and remove the console box assembly.
