TFT LCD Display Freezes And Does Not Accept Any Operation Entry
Probable cause:
External device malfunction/influence, malfunction in cooperative control with or communication with the unit body and CCM.
- CHECK RESTARTING DISPLAY
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Wait for at least 3 minutes after the combination display turned off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Is the screen freeze eliminated?
Yes: Go to 4.
No: Go to 2.
- REMOVE OTHER MEDIA OR EXTERNAL DEVICES
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Remove the external devices connected to USB or Bluetooth.
Is the screen freeze eliminated?
Yes: Go to 3.
No: Go to 5.
- CHECK OTHER EXTERNAL DEVICE CONNECTION
.
- To identify the faulty external device, individually connect the external devices that were disconnected when the screen freeze was eliminated.
- Replace the identified device with the one that has the same performance.
- Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
Does the screen freeze occur?
Yes: Go to 4.
No: The external device may be defective.
- CHECK OPERATION PROCEDURE
.
- Ask the user how the screen was operated when the screen freeze occurred.
- Operate in the same operation procedure.
Does the screen freeze occur?
Yes: Go to 5.
No: The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis.
- CHECK ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITION
.
Check if any external device which emits strong electromagnetic waves and noises, such as a radio antenna, is installed inside the vehicle.
Is there an external device?
Yes: Remove the external device, Go to 2.
If the fault is not fixed, Go to 6.
No: Go to 6.
- INITIALIZE COCKPIT CONTROL MODULE
.
Initialize the cockpit control module. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT .
Is the screen freeze eliminated?
Yes: Go to 4.
If the screen freeze occurs again, replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER .
No: Replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER .
