Body Integrated Unit: Removal

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. When replacing the body integrated unit, check and record the current settings. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>REGISTRATION BODY INTEGRATED UNIT>OPERATION>CONFIRM CURRENT SETTING .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the cover LWR driver OUT. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL>OUTSIDE .
  4. Remove the body integrated unit.
    1. Remove the bolt and nut which secure the F/B.
    2. Disconnect each connector, and then remove the F/B and body integrated unit as a unit.

    3. Release the claw, and remove the body integrated unit.
