Inspection Without Using Can Diagnostic

Trouble causes:

Electrical system malfunction
Faulty harness and harness connector

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description> CAUTION .

CHECK BATTERY .
Check the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DOTC)>Battery>INSPECTION .

Is the check result OK?

Yes : Go to 2.

No : Charge or replace the battery.
CHECK FUSE .
Check the fuse which might affect the problem.

Is the check result OK?

Yes : Go to 3.

No : Replace the fuse. If the replaced fuse blows out easily, some type of fault is present.

Therefore, repair the faulty portion.
CHECK HARNESS .
Check the harness and harness connector connection which might affect the problem.

Is the check result OK?

Yes : Go to step 3 in the Basic Diagnostic Procedure. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>Basic Diagnostic Procedure>PROCEDURE .

No : Repair or replace the faulty harness or harness connector.
