Side Garnish & Side Spoiler: Removal
- Remove the spoiler assembly - side.
- Apply protective tape to the gap between garnish assembly - fender and spoiler assembly - side.CAUTION: If protective tape is not applied, a damage may occur when removing the spoiler assembly - side. If protective tape is difficult to apply, place a piece of paper, etc. between them.NOTE: If protective tape cannot be applied because there is no gap, perform the operations from the step (4) onward.
- Release the lower clip on the spoiler assembly - side.
- Release the clips one by one from the front edge to the rear side in sequence, and remove the spoiler assembly - side.
- Apply protective tape to the gap between garnish assembly - fender and spoiler assembly - side.
- Release the lower clip on the spoiler assembly - side.
- Release 7 clips one by one from the rear edge to the front side in sequence, and place the spoiler assembly - side on the spacer (e).
- Adjust the spacer height using a cloth, etc. so that the gap (H) between the rear edge of spoiler assembly - side and the panel - side outer becomes 30 - 35 mm (1.2 - 1.4 in).
- Release the clips, and remove the spoiler assembly - side.
- Apply protective tape to the gap between garnish assembly - fender and spoiler assembly - side.
- Remove the garnish assembly - fender. Refer to EXTERIOR BODY PANELS>FRONT FENDER>REMOVAL>FENDER GARNISH .
