Rear Shelf Trim: Removal
CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Airbag system satellite safing sensor is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY
.NOTE: For model with battery sensor, disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor.
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Refer to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
- Release the clips and claws, and remove the side sill covers - rear INN on the left and right sides.CAUTION: Do not pull with excessive force. Doing so may damage the claws of the side sill cover - rear INN.
- Remove the trim panel - rear pillar UPR and trim panel - rear pillar LWR on the RH and LH sides. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR QUARTER TRIM>REMOVAL .
- Remove the bolts, and remove the lower anchor of the seat belt - rear shoulder CTR.
- Remove the high-mounted stop light. Refer to LIGHTING SYSTEM>HIGH-MOUNTED STOP LIGHT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the trim panel assembly - rear shelf.
