More/Less Fuel Than The Actual Amount Is Displayed
- CHECK DTC (CURRENT MALFUNCTION).
Read DTC of combination meter. Refer to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is «DTC B1500 FUEL SENDER OPEN/SHORT-CIRCUIT DETECTION» displayed?
Yes: Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.
No: Go to 2.
- CHECK DTC (CURRENT MALFUNCTION).
- Start the engine.
- Read all DTCs. Refer to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC U**** displayed?
Yes: Perform the diagnosis according to the basic diagnostic procedure in LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS). Refer to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
No: Go to 3.
- CHECK FUEL GAUGE.
Connect the Subaru Select Monitor, and perform forced operation of the fuel gauge with «Active Test» for the combination meter. Refer to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK MODE .
Do the indicated amount on Subaru Select Monitor and the fuel gauge indication match?
Yes: Perform a unit inspection for the fuel sub level sensor and the fuel level sensor. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (STI)>FUEL SUB LEVEL SENSOR . Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (STI)>FUEL LEVEL SENSOR .
No: Replace the combination meter. Refer to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER .
