Side Impact Sensor (Rear Wheel House)
CAUTION:
- Refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" before handling the airbag system components. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat) for the airbag system is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the cover side sill rear UPR. (Side where Side impact sensor (rear wheel house) will be removed) Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR QUARTER TRIM>REMOVAL .
- Remove the pad rear side assembly. (Side where Side impact sensor (rear wheel house) will be removed) Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the nut, and then remove Side impact sensor (rear wheel house). Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONNECTOR>PROCEDURE>EACH IMPACT SENSOR .
