Seat Heater Switch (Rear)

NOTE: Perform the following inspections, and when the rear seat heater switch does not switch between HI and Lo, check the harness between the rear seat heater and rear seat heat control module.
When the harness is not defective, the rear seat heater control module may be malfunctioning.
  1. CHECK ADAPTER HARNESS  .
    1. Remove the seat heater switch. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>DISASSEMBLY>CONSOLE REAR .
    2. Check the continuity between the adapter harness connectors.

      Connector and terminal 

      LH side: 

      (C3) No. 2 - (C33) No. 6:

      (C3) No. 10 - (C33) No. 4:

      RH side: 

      (C3) No. 4 - (C34) No. 6:

      (C3) No. 10 - (C34) No. 4:

      Is there continuity between the terminals?

      Yes  : Go to  2 .

      No  : If no continuity exists, replace the adapter harness.

  2. CHECK SEAT HEATER SWITCH UNIT  .

    Check the continuity between the terminals when pressing the seat heater switch.

    Is there continuity between the terminals when pressing the switch?

    Yes  : Check the connector for temporary poor contact. Or, check the harness between the rear seat heater switch and rear seat heater control module. Replace the rear seat heater control module if no fault is found in the inspection.

    No  : If no continuity exists, replace the seat heater switch with a new part. Ref. to SEATS>SEAT HEATER SYSTEM>REMOVAL>REAR SEAT HEATER SWITCH .
