Trunk Room Trim: Removal

CAUTION:
  • Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  • Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat) for the airbag system is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the clips, and remove the trim panel trunk lid.

  3. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly and pad rear side. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
  4. Tilt the backrest forward.
  5. Remove the mat trunk.
  6. Remove the box sub trunk and the spacer rear floor side.
  7. Release the clips and claws, and remove the trim panel trunk rear.

  8. Remove the emergency cover. (When removing the RH side)
    1. Turn the knob and remove the emergency cover.

    2. Disconnect the emergency cable.
  9. Remove the trunk trim panel side.
    1. Remove the hook.
      1. Turn the hook to 90°.
      2. Press the claw using a screwdriver to detach the hook.
    2. Release the clips and remove the trunk trim panel side.

  10. Remove the clips, and remove the insulator trunk side.
