DTC B2240: Can Communication (Audio) Stuck
DTC detecting condition:
Detected when the resistor is stuck during the CAN bus communication process.
Trouble symptom:
Vehicle linkage cannot function. (Air conditioner operation, vehicle information, vehicle setting customizing, etc.)
CAUTION:
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .
- CHECK DTC
.
Perform the diagnosis for LAN system. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
Is the check result OK?
Yes: Go to 2 .
No: Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for LAN system.
- CHECK COCKPIT CONTROL MODULE

- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Cockpit Control]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF, and Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor.
- Install the ground terminal to the battery sensor and turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to Cockpit Control (Diagnostics)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
Is DTC B2240 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Replace the cockpit control module. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY .
No: Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
