Clearance Indicator Does Not Illuminate
Trouble causes:
- CAN communication failure
- Body integrated unit malfunction
- Combination meter malfunction
- Clearance light circuit malfunction
- CHECK DTC

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Read the DTC of [Body Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)

Are any DTCs displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.
No : Go to 2 .
- CHECK DTC
.
- Start the engine.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read all DTCs. Ref. to LAN System (Diagnostics)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
Is DTC U**** displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Perform the diagnosis according to the basic diagnostic procedure in LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS). Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
No : Go to 3 .
- CHECK CLEARANCE INDICATOR

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Active Test] of [Combination Meter]. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>ACTIVE TEST .
- Position light indicator
Do the indication on Subaru Select Monitor and the clearance indicator indication match?
Yes : Go to 4 .
No : Replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER .
- CHECK DATA MONITOR FOR BODY INTEGRATED UNIT

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Body Control]. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- Lighting I Switch Input
Do the switch operation and data indication match?
Yes : Replace the body integrated unit. Ref. to BODY CONTROL/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM>BODY INTEGRATED UNIT .
No : Check the clearance light. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>CLEARANCE LIGHT AND ILLUMINATION LIGHT SYSTEM .
