Electric Retraction System Operates Unexpectedly (Passenger's Seat)
Trouble causes:
- Poor contact of connector
- Short circuit to power supply in harness
- Outer mirror control module (passenger's seat) malfunction
- Outer mirror assembly (passenger's seat) malfunction
- CHECK DTC
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for 20 seconds or more.
- Read the DTC of [Door Mirror (Passenger)] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to Door Mirror (Diagnostics)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
Are any DTCs displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to Door Mirror (Diagnostics)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
No : Go to 2 .
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Check that the following connectors are properly connected. Repair the connector if any broken pin or poor mating is detected.
- Outer mirror control module (passenger's seat) connector
- Outer mirror assembly (passenger's seat) connector
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Check that the faulty phenomenon is reproduced.
Is the faulty phenomenon reproduced?
Yes : Go to 3 .
No : Since the poor contact of connector has repaired, the circuit condition returned to normal.
- CHECK OUTER MIRROR ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER'S SEAT) UNIT
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the outer mirror assembly (passenger's seat) connector (Df55).
- Apply battery voltage between outer mirror assembly (passenger's seat) connector terminals, and check the following points.
- Extension/retraction operation of electric retraction motor
- Motor stop after extension/retraction
