- CHECK BETWEEN RELATED LINES AND MAIN WIRING HARNESS
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the central gateway control module connector.
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between the central gateway control module connector and chassis ground.
Connector and terminal
(i88) No. 12 - Chassis ground:
(i88) No. 13 - Chassis ground:
Is the resistance less than 10 Ω?
Yes : Go to 2 .
No : Go to 3 .
- CHECK CONTROL MODULE
.
With the tester connected, disconnect control module.
Connector and terminal
(i88) No. 12 - Chassis ground:
(i88) No. 13 - Chassis ground:
Did the resistance change to 10 Ω or more?
Yes : Replace the control module whose resistance has changed.
No : Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness between the central gateway control module.
- CHECK BETWEEN RELATED LINES AND MAIN WIRING HARNESS .
- CHECK CONTROL MODULE

With the tester connected, disconnect control module.

(i88) No. 12 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
(i88) No. 13 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Did the voltage change to 5 V or less?
Yes : Replace the control module whose voltage has changed.
No : Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness between the central gateway control module.
- CHECK CENTRAL GATEWAY CONTROL MODULE
.
- Connect the central gateway control module connector.
- Disconnect the cockpit control module connector.
- Using the tester, measure the voltage between cockpit control module connector and chassis ground.

(i101) No. 30 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
(i101) No. 31 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Is the voltage 5 V or less?
Yes : CAN communication circuit is normal.
No : Replace the central gateway control module. Ref. to BODY CONTROL/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM>GATEWAY CONTROL MODULE .
