DTC B260A: Acc

DTC detecting condition: 

When there is a difference between ACC status sent via CAN communication and ACC status sent from direct line for 10 seconds or more continuously.

Trouble symptom: 

During manual or automatic extension by the electric retraction system, mirrors stop halfway and do not fully extend. (When cranking)

Any of the following functions do not operate.

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to DOOR MIRROR (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>INSPECTION .
  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for 10 seconds or more.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTCs of [Door Mirror (Driver)] and [Door Mirror (Passenger)]. Ref. to Door Mirror (Diagnostics)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
      • Door Mirror (Driver)
      • Door Mirror (Passenger)

      Is DTC B260A displayed? (Current malfunction)

      Yes  : Go to  2 .

      No  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and perform the diagnosis again.

      NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
  2. CHECK ACC SIGNAL OF OUTER MIRROR CONTROL MODULE  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Door Mirror (Driver)] and [Door Mirror (Passenger)]. Ref. to Door Mirror (Diagnostics)>Data Monitor .

    • Door Mirror (Driver)
      • ACC Signal
      • Door Mirror (Passenger)
      • ACC Signal

    When the ignition switch is turned to ACC/OFF, are the following indications displayed?

    When the ignition switch is turned to ACC: [ON]

    When the ignition switch is turned to OFF: [OFF]

    Yes  : Go to  3 .

    No  : Inspect the body integrated unit. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .

  3. CHECK ACC SIGNAL OF OUTER MIRROR CONTROL MODULE  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Door Mirror (Driver)] and [Door Mirror (Passenger)]. Ref. to Door Mirror (Diagnostics)>Data Monitor .

    • Door Mirror (Driver)
      • ACC SW Signal
      • Door Mirror (Passenger)
      • ACC SW Signal

    When the ignition switch is turned to ACC/OFF, are the following indications displayed?

    When the ignition switch is turned to ACC: [ON]

    When the ignition switch is turned to OFF: [OFF]

    Yes  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and perform the diagnosis again.

    NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

    No  : Repair the open circuit of the harness between outer mirror control module (driver's seat) or outer mirror control module (passenger's seat) connectors and fuse.
