Control Panel: Removal

  1. When the heater control assembly is replaced with a new part, read and store the ECM setting information. (Model with driver monitoring system)
    1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, select [Read Control module setting information] from the work support item list of [Air Conditioner], Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT .
    2. According to the display screen, save and close the file.
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the heater control assembly.
    1. Attach the protective tape (a).
    2. Release the clips and claws, and then remove the heater control assembly.
      CAUTION: Wrap a remover, etc. with protective tape or cloth. Use a remover, etc. by pressing it in the instrument panel side so that the heater control assembly should not be damaged.

    3. Disconnect the connector, and remove the heater control assembly.
    4. Remove the screws and remove the center panel assembly.
