Glove Box: Removal

NOTE: Refer to "Security and Locks" service information for key cylinder replacement. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEY LOCK CYLINDERS>REPLACEMENT>GLOVE BOX LID .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the pocket COMPL.
    1. Remove the damper assembly.
    2. Release the stoppers and remove the pocket COMPL by pulling it toward you.

  3. Remove the panel instrument passenger.
    1. Release the clips, and remove the under cover assembly passenger.

    2. Remove the clips, and remove the cover assembly instrument panel side RH.

      NOTE:
      • Use a plastic remover.
      • If removing is difficult, remove the weather strip and remove it from the gap using a plastic remover.
    3. Release the clips, and remove the ornament assembly passenger.

    4. Remove the glove box light LED, and disconnect the connector.
    5. Remove the screws and release the claws, then remove the panel instrument passenger.
