DTC B2253: Damaging A Coil Due To The Electric Current To The Speaker Coil
DTC detecting condition:
Detected when a speaker that operates properly is not connected.
Trouble symptom:
Does not sound.
CAUTION:
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .
- CHECK DTC

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Infotainment]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
- Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
- Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B2253 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Go to 2 .
No: Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time.
Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. - CHECK CONNECTOR

Check the harness between audio connector or navigation unit connector and audio amplifier.
Is the check result OK?
Yes: Replace the audio or navigation unit. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT AND MONITORING>AUDIO . Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT AND MONITORING>NAVIGATION BODY .
No: Repair the harness or replace the components.
