Check The Charging Inlet Lock Assembly Unit

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Visual inspection
    1. Check that there is no foreign matter or other substance on the lock pin of the charging inlet lock assembly.
    2. Check that there is no bending, deformation, or damage of the lock pin of the charging inlet lock assembly.

      NOTE:
      • If there is foreign matter on the lock pin, remove the foreign matter. If the foreign matter cannot be removed, replace the charging inlet lock assembly.
      • If the lock pin does not operate correctly due to bending or deformation, or if the lock pin is damaged, replace the charging inlet lock assembly.
  2. Check lock pin operation.
    1. Check the operating conditions of the lock pin when battery voltage is applied to the connector terminal.
      CAUTION:
      • Complete the check within a battery connection lasting approximately 2 or 3 seconds. If voltage is applied for a longer time, there is the risk of damage to the charging inlet lock assembly.
      • Check the lock pin conditions before connecting battery voltage, and check the connection sequence.
        • If the lock pin is locked, check the unlock operation.
        • If the lock pin is unlock, check the lock operation.

      10 (+) - 6 (-) Apply battery voltage. Unlocked to locked
      3 (+) - 6 (-) Locked to unlocked
    2. Replace the charging inlet lock assembly if faulty is found to be defective.
  3. Check the lock pin detection circuit.
    1. Measure the resistance between connector terminals.
CAUTION: The lock pin locked to unlocked and unlocked to locked operation must be performed by operating the unlock lever.
