When "12V Battery Inspection Required" Is Displayed On The Meter

  1. CHARGE BATTERY  .

    Charge the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO(HEV))>BATTERY>CHARGE .

    Is the battery charged?

    Yes:  Go to  2.

    No: 

    1. Replace the battery with a new part. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO(HEV))>BATTERY .
    2. Go to  3.
  2. CHECK BATTERY  .

    Check the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO(HEV))>BATTERY>INSPECTION .

    Is the battery OK?

    Yes:  Go to  3.

    No: 

    1. Replace the battery with a new part. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO(HEV))>BATTERY .
    2. Go to  3.
  3. CHECK WIRING AND TERMINAL (BETWEEN BATTERY (12V) - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)  .

    Check the wiring and terminals.

    Are the wiring and the contact of the terminal normal?

    Yes:  System is normal.

    Restore the vehicle and repeat turning the ignition switch to OFF (for three seconds) ↔ ON (for three seconds) three times or more with all the electric load turned OFF. Then confirm that "12 V battery inspection required" is not displayed on the meter.

    No: 

    1. Repair the defective part.
    2. Repeat turning the ignition switch to OFF (for three seconds) ↔ ON (for three seconds) three times or more with all the electric load turned OFF. Then confirm that "12 V battery inspection required" is not displayed on the meter.
