Drive Start Control System

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
NOTE: The system output may become large at uphill and small at downhill even when the accelerator pedal is depressed at constant amount. However, this is due to operation of the driving torque control by the drive start control, and not a malfunction.
  1. CHECK SYMPTOMS  .

Interview the customer and check the vehicle condition.

    If hunting, go to  A.

If breathing or poor acceleration, go to  B.

    Yes:

  2. CHECK OPERATION HISTORY  .

Check if an operation to activate the drive start control is performed.

NOTE: During control at reversing and control at shift change, the driving torque is corrected based on slope inclination and steering angle.
