Only Orientation And Turn By Turn Screens Are Not Displayed

Detecting condition:

Communication circuit, navigation or MFD is abnormal.

CHECK HEAD UNIT .
Check the grade of the head unit.

Is the head unit Hi grade (with navigation)?

Yes: Go to 2.

No: System is normal. The contents are displayed only on Hi grade (with navigation) head unit .
CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT .
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect the MFD connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4. Using a tester, measure the voltage between the MFD connector and chassis ground.

Is the voltage 10 V or more?

Yes: Go to 3.

No: Repair or replace the open circuit of harness. (Check battery as well as fuse.)
CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN MFD AND HEAD UNIT .
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect the MFD connector.
3. Disconnect the head unit connector.
4. Using a tester, measure the resistance in harness between the MFD connector and head unit connector.

Is the resistance less than 10 Ω?

Yes: Go to 4.

No: Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
CHECK HEAD UNIT .
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Are any DTCs displayed? (Current malfunction)

Yes: Perform the diagnosis according to displayed DTC. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .

No: Replace the MFD. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>MULTI-FUNCTION DISPLAY (MFD) .
