DTC C1821: Brake Temperature Abnormal

DTC detecting condition:

This code is recorded when the estimated value of temperature under braking is above certain threshold and therefore the conditions for control intervention are met.

Trouble symptom:

Traction control does not operate.
Hill descent control does not operate. (Model with X mode)
Active torque vectoring does not operate.

CHECK DTC .
Read the DTC of [Brake Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

Is DTC C1821 a current malfunction?

Yes: Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine until the DTC becomes a past malfunction.

No: It results from a temporal increase in brake temperature. Check the brake pads, disc rotors, and brake fluid.
