DTC B2249: BLUETOOTH Module
DTC detecting condition:
- Detected when a connection between the Bluetooth module is lost (or there has already been no connection) and the connection cannot be established even after trying to reset the Bluetooth module hardware three times.
- Detected when the connection with the Bluetooth module has established but the module does not respond to the initialization request, and there is no response from the module even after trying to reset the Bluetooth module three times.
Trouble symptom:
Cannot connect with the Bluetooth device.
CAUTION:
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- CHECK DTC

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Infotainment]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
- Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
- Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B2249 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. - CHECK Bluetooth DEVICE

- Restart the Bluetooth device, and connect again.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Infotainment]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
- Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
- Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B2249 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Go to 3.
No: Bluetooth device was faulty.

- Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B2249 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Replace the audio or navigation unit. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>AUDIO . Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>NAVIGATION BODY .
No: Bluetooth device was faulty.
- Connect another Bluetooth device.
