DTC B2249: BLUETOOTH Module

DTC detecting condition: 

Trouble symptom: 

Cannot connect with the Bluetooth device.

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Infotainment]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    3. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
    4. Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC B2249 displayed? (Current malfunction)

    Yes:  Go to  2.

    No:  Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

    NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
  2. CHECK Bluetooth DEVICE  .
    1. Restart the Bluetooth device, and connect again.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Infotainment]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    3. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
    4. Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC B2249 displayed? (Current malfunction)

    Yes:  Go to  3.

    No:  Bluetooth device was faulty.

  3. CHECK Bluetooth DEVICE  .
    1. Connect another Bluetooth device.
      NOTE: Supported network type: Ver. 3.0 +EDR compatible
      • Bluetooth Phone

        Profile

        • HFP: Ver. 1.6
        • OPP: Ver. 1.1
        • PBAP: Ver. 1.1.1
        • MAP: Ver. 1.0
        • SPP: Ver. 1.1
      • Bluetooth Audio Device

      Profile
      • A2DP: Ver. 1.2
      • AVRCP: Ver. 1.4
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Infotainment]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    3. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
    4. Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC B2249 displayed? (Current malfunction)

    Yes:  Replace the audio or navigation unit. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>AUDIO . Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>NAVIGATION BODY .

    No:  Bluetooth device was faulty.
