The electric brake booster control module monitors the voltage at the solenoid power supply. When the main relay is instructed to be on and the voltage at the solenoid power supply is within the range of an open circuit malfunction (voltage is practically equal to that when off), an open circuit is judged and the MIL is illuminated and stores a DTC.
