When the electric brake booster control module detects a brake fluid pressure sensor malfunction, the electric brake booster control module judges that the data from a brake fluid pressure sensor is invalid and illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC. When the accumulator pressure sensor data is abnormal or there is a communication error, before the accumulator pressure sensor is judged to be malfunctioning, a reset of the timer which is used for detection timing, etc., may be performed by the IC. If this situation repeats consecutively, the electric brake booster control module judges that the accumulator pressure sensor reset is abnormal and illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
