DTC B2254: GPS Antenna Faults
Trouble symptom:
Navigation system does not operate.
- CHECK DTC
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Infotainment]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
- Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
- Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B2254 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. - CHECK DATA MONITOR

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Infotainment]. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- GPS Current Location; Latitude °
- GPS Current Location; Longitude °
Is the displayed data properly received?
Yes: Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.No: Go to 3.
- CHECK ANTENNA

Visually check the antenna and check the connectors. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>ANTENNA .
Is the check result OK?
Yes: Replace the navigation unit. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>NAVIGATION BODY .
No: Replace the antenna. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>ANTENNA .
