Hill Hold Indicator Does Not Illuminate
Trouble causes:
- CAN communication failure
- Combination meter malfunction
- Hill hold indicator light circuit malfunction
CAUTION:
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- CHECK DTC
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Read the DTC of [Brake Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Are any DTCs displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .
No: Go to 2.
- CHECK DTC

- Start the engine.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read all DTCs. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC U**** displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Perform the diagnosis according to the basic diagnostic procedure in LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS). Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
No: Check the hill hold indicator light. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATION PATTERN .
