Related Lines, More Than 52 Ω And Less Than 62 Ω (Remote Engine Starter)

Wiring diagram:

  1. CHECK BETWEEN RELATED LINES AND MAIN WIRING HARNESS  .
    1. Disconnect the remote engine start control module connector.
    2. Using a tester, measure the resistance between remote engine start control module connector terminals.

      Connector and terminal 

      Without push button start 

      (B180) No. 2 - (B180) No. 1:

      With push button start 

      (i291) No. 3 - (i291) No. 2:

    Is the resistance 400 Ω or more?

    Yes:  A related line between remote engine start control module and main wiring harness is open, or main wiring harness is open at two places or more.

    No:  Go to  2.

  2. CHECK RELATED LINES  .
    1. Disconnect the audio or navigation unit connector.
    2. Using a tester, measure the resistance between audio or navigation unit connector and remote engine start control module connector.

      Connector and terminal 

      Without push button start 

      (B180) No. 1 - (i87) No. 9:

      (B180) No. 2 - (i87) No. 10:

      With push button start 

      (i291) No. 2 - (i87) No. 9:

      (i291) No. 3 - (i87) No. 10:

    Is the resistance 10 Ω or more?

    Yes:  Repair or replace the open circuit portion of remote engine start control module related lines.

    No:  The communication harness is normal. Check the remote engine start control module or the mobile key.
