Diagnostic Method

Judge as NG when the following conditions are established.

JUDGMENT VALUE SPECIFICATIONS

Malfunction Criteria Threshold Value
Evaporative leak system pressure (gauge) More than -400 Pa (-3 mmHg, -0.1 inHg)
Purge gas amount integrated value(1) 3g (0.11 oz) or more
(1) It is approximately 2 sec per the integration of purge to reach 1 g (0.04 oz) at vehicle speed of 64.4 km/h (40 MPH).

Time needed for diagnosis:  Less than 1 s

Malfunction indicator light illumination:  Illuminates when malfunction occurs in 2 continuous driving cycles.
