Heater Vent Duct: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the instrument panel assembly, Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM> INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the duct - center ventilation and the duct - side ventilation.
    1. Remove the screws and remove the duct - side ventilation LH and RH (a).
    2. Remove the duct - center ventilation (b).
