2.5 L Model

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: If the engine coolant is spilled over the engine or the exhaust pipe, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke or causing a fire.
  1. Install the stud bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

  2. Connect the water hose (A).

  3. Set new gasket to the stud bolt.

  4. Set the EGR cooler, and temporarily tighten the nuts and bolts securing the EGR cooler to the EGR control valve and cylinder head RH.

  5. Tighten the nuts and bolts securing the EGR cooler in the numerical order shown in the figure.

    Tightening torque: 

    T1: 9 N.m (0.9 kgf-m, 6.6 ft-lb)

    T2: 19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

    T3: 6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

  6. Connect the water hose (A), water hose (B) and the water hose (C).

  7. Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
  8. Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
