Cruise Control Is Canceled Without Releasing Operation

NOTE: If the below is performed, the ECM cancel code will be cleared.

Do not turn the ignition switch to OFF after the cruise control is deactivated.
Do not operate the EyeSight steering switch after the cruise control is deactivated.

CHECK FOR PRESENCE OF CANCEL CODE .
Check for the presence of ECM cancel codes. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>ECM CANCEL CODE(S) DISPLAY .

Is a cancel code displayed?

Yes: Perform the diagnosis for the displayed cancel code. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>ECM CANCEL CODE(S) DISPLAY .

No: Go to 2.
PERFORM REAL TIME DIAGNOSIS .
Check the input signal of cruise control system. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>REAL-TIME DIAGNOSIS .

Is the check result OK?

Yes: Go to 6.

No:
- When EyeSight steering switch signal is faulty. Go to 3.
- When the stop light switch or brake switch signal is faulty. Go to 4.
- When the shift lever signal is faulty. Go to 5.
CHECK EyeSight STEERING SWITCH .
Check the EyeSight steering switch. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>INSPECTION>CHECK EYESIGHT STEERING SWITCH .

Is the check result OK?

Yes: Replace the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA>REMOVAL

No: Replace the EyeSight steering switch. Ref. to EYESIGHT>SWITCHES AND HARNESS .
INSPECTION OF STOP LIGHT SWITCH AND BRAKE SWITCH .
Check stop light switch and brake switch. Ref. to BRAKE>BRAKE PEDAL . Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH ECU CANCEL CODE>12 .

Is the check result OK?

Yes: Replace the ECM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>REMOVAL .

No: Repair or replace the faulty portion of the stop light switch or brake switch.
CHECK NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH .
Check the neutral position switch. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH ECU CANCEL CODE>12 . Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH ECU CANCEL CODE>62 .

Is the check result OK?

Yes: Replace the ECM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))> ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>REMOVAL .

No: Repair or replace the faulty portion of the neutral position switch.
INSPECTION OF VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR .
Check the vehicle speed sensor. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH ECU CANCEL CODE>22 .

Is the check result OK?

Yes: Replace the VDCCM. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM AND H/U) .

No: Repair or replace the faulty portion of the vehicle speed sensor.
