Neutral Position Switch Is Turned To On, And Then The Cruise Control Is Released

Trouble symptom: 

Cruise control cannot be set.

Wiring diagram:

1. CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH CIRCUIT  .
   1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
   2. Disconnect the inhibitor switch connector.
   3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
   4. Measure the voltage between connector terminal and chassis ground.

   Connector and terminal 

   (T7) No. 7 (+) - Chassis ground (-):

   Is the voltage 7.5 - 14 V?

   Yes:  Go to  2.

   No: 

   • Check the fuse.
   • Check for open or short circuit in the harness between inhibitor switch and hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.
2. CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH CIRCUIT  .
   1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
   2. Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
   3. Measure the resistance between the inhibitor switch connector terminal and the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.

   Connector and terminal 

   (T7) No. 2 - (B605) No. 24:

   (T7) No. 4 - (B605) No. 7:

   Is the resistance less than 10 Ω?

   Yes:  Go to  3.

   No:  Repair the harness.

3. CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH CIRCUIT  .

   Check the inhibitor switch circuit. Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC P0705-62: TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR "A" CIRCUIT (PRNDL INPUT) SIGNAL COMPARE FAILURE .

   Is the check result OK?

   Yes:  Replace the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA>REMOVAL .

   No:  Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.
