DTC B224C: Diversity (Fm2) Radio Antenna Fault (Shorted Or Open)

Trouble symptom: 

Radio is not received.

1. CHECK DTC  .
   1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Infotainment]. Ref. to COMMON (diag)>CLEAR MEMORY .
   2. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
   3. Read the DTC of [Infotainment] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to INFOTAINMENT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

   Is DTC B224C displayed? (Current malfunction)

   Yes  : Go to  2.

   No  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time.

   Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

   NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
2. CHECK RADIO CONDITION  .

   Select station in the condition where radio is received.

   Is radio received?

   Yes  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time.

   Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

   NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

   No  : Go to  3.

3. CHECK ANTENNA  .

   Visually check the antenna and check the connectors. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>ANTENNA .

   Is the check result OK?

   Yes  : Replace the audio or navigation unit. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>AUDIO . Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>NAVIGATION BODY .

   No  : Replace the antenna. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>ANTENNA .
